One of the first things you'll need to do to create a Model is setup a calendar. You can choose the calendar type which is used to generate the appropriate labels for the schedule.

Then you need to setup the calendar terms and periods. There are three types of periods, months, quarters and years and you can mix these types where appropriate. In the example below the calendar starts with months and quarters to finish off the year, before switching to yearly periods.

Once the model has been created you won't be able to modify the calendar as this could lead to truncated or missing data. If you don't want to start from scratch you can make a copy of the original model with an adjusted calendar.

To view the calendar after the model has been created navigate to the model configuration page and you'll find the View Calendar link at the top of the page.

The calendar on this page will also expand the terms out if they apply to multiple periods.
